IRC Network Downtime


IRC was down for a few minutes because of rumors of a security issue. These ended up being false.

My guess was that these were left default, making it easy to un-hash the IPs. Just a guess though. Regardless using the command it suggests "./unreal gencloak" should get it running again, assuming the keys weren't compromised another way.

Game servers have nothing to do with IRC, TheAnswer is probably sleeping as he was up working (on the servers) very very late into his morning's hours.

OK, I'm pleased I saw this thread.

I woke up, switched on the PC and saw the servers were down.

So did it properly, instead of posting here asking what's up I went to IRC. Only to find it silent and whenever I post I get a 'you need voice' and have no idea what the hell that means (still new to IRC).

Oh well perhaps I need to do RL stuff for a bit then.
