Guide to Force Shrines

http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=forceshrine5xw.jpg

Introduction

Force shrines are shrines dedicated to the living Force. Force sensitives say they feel their aura in the Force there. In the past, Jedi on the verge of death used to drag their near-dead bodies to such Force shrines where they fell into a healing trance that allowed them to survive, albeit barely. Nowadays this isn't practiced anymore, but some Jedi have left replacement robes hidden beneath adjacent Force Shrines before battles in order to have fresh clothing afterwards. You may want to check underneath the shrine for items such as this. Jedi also tend to kneel before a force shrine to meditate before it respectfully in order to focus the Force within them and listen for wisdom and advice from ancient Jedi Masters long gone.

Force Shrine Functions
http://img229.imageshack.us/my.php?image=forceshrineradialmenu0kj.jpg

Force shrines have various functions. You can access them by moving the mouse cursor over the Force Shrine and summoning the radial menu (default key: ~). This will present you the following options:

Examine
http://img481.imageshack.us/my.php?image=forceshrineexamine0ws.jpg

This radial menu option will examine the force shrine. It works like the /examine command on other in-game items.

Meditate
http://img481.imageshack.us/my.php?image=forceshrinemeditate5ux.jpg

This radial menu option will provide you with random words of wisdom from ancient Jedi Masters. Note that this only works if you "meditate respectfully", which means that you have to be in a kneeling position (use the /kneel command) when you click on meditate.

Robe Replacement
http://img468.imageshack.us/my.php?image=forceshrinerobereplacement6va.jpg

http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=padawanrobeforceshrinereplacem.jpg

This radial menu option will provide you with a replacement Padawan Robe that is the rough equivalent of the Initiate Robe granted at level 22 (except it has a skill modifier of agility 21 instead of constitution 21), in case you have lost yours. Note that this only works if you don't have another Padawan Robe in your inventory, backpack or bandolier. You may leave your other robes in your bank, house or multipassenger ship if you would like to get a replacement Padawan Robe.

Force Shrine Locations
According to ancient data, Force Shrines can be found on the following planets near the given coordinates. However, the coordinates may be a little inaccurate, as the data is old and the coordination wasn't as accurate back in the days. Tectonic movements on some planets may also have caused a discrepancy.

Like my "Vision" posts, this guide is a work in progress. Feel free to post anything that may be wrong or missing (links to screenshots of some of the robes/cloaks that don't have them listed yet would be nice, for example) and I shall update the main post with it to improve the guide.
Please stay constructive and on-topic and take possible trolling and flaming elsewhere. Thank you!

Well, it's all described in the main post, there is no need to repost it now, is there?

In the past, I had heard that meditating at a shrine in your robes only helped with tuning crystals.  Is this true at all?

Nice looking guide so far.

That's just superstition IMHO. It's always been as random as anywhere else.
Besides, nowadays the crystals/pearls all have pretty much set values tied to their quality.

I've tuned at shrines and even at the Jedi temple on Dant, and the tunes are just as random as anywhere else(unfortunately). It would be cool if the devs had thought of the idea that areas stronger in the force might influence a pearl/crystal's tune.

Tuning was always random no matter where it was done.

I loved getting to clone at shrines.

Not sure why this is stickied, except that Glzmo seems to need the attention from time to time.

Hehe, i do really know what shrines do NGE. What imeant to say was "whats the point!?" Aside from roleplaying or cycling through the 3-4 different "wise teachings" the shrine spouts at you. They are next to useless now.

The robes you get from the level 22 profession rewards have a bonus to constitution. The replacement robes you get from shrines have a bonus to agility.

Thanks for the input. I have made that more clear in the main post.
