The hermit tells you about a farmer in the desert in need of a hero. The farmer is actually (a moisture farmer) that spawns randomly south of Mos Taike. He doesn't come up on the radar, but he does come up white on the over head map.
This guy can be very hard to find. Once he spawns in the desert, he likes to walk around. After you find him walking around he tells you about how his wife and kid are being held for ransom by a group called "Sennex". You have the option of giving him the 10,000 for the ransom or go out and free them. If you give him the 10,000 for the ransom, he will thank you then despawn. No badge, no item.
If you ask for the location to where the farmer thinks they are being held (6522 -1350) you must go to the cave and free them. After talking to him, he takes a few steps then despawns. This cave is not a walk in the park (as hard as the new squill cave). There are Sennex NPC that have up to 9k HAM that respawn in a matter of seconds. I would say that a fully buffed and armored TKM would do just fine.
Once at the cave, its your job to:
A) Find explosives
B) Blow up wall holding wife and kid
C) Escort wife and kid to freedom.
The crate, wife, and kid will only spawn at the cave if you have talked to the farmer (and entered the second room of the cave).
Cave Map:
The respawn at this cave is nuts. There is always something popping up after you think its dead. Watch your back and move quickly. Leaving seems to be a lot harder then entering. Once at the exit of the cave (dont burst run out or the wife and kid will despawn) the wife will thank you and you will be rewarded with the Mark of Altruism Badge and item.
I am very frustrated...i got the intellect mark in about an hour or less...but have spent countless days, and numerous hours at onr sitting to get the rest of the marks...with a friend whose a ranger, and still cannot even find the poc's of the other marks...is it broke again?

I've been mastering 7 proffesions and I still don't have any marks, I have 68 badges and no marks? I've
been in Bloodfin for a couple of weeks now and I can't find that damn moisture farmer. yes you can solo the cave with one jedi in the group and a couple of medics. It doesn't take much to run through the cave with brute force.
i recommned this to people who are serious PvP'ers because swordsman Mind Hit II, Fencer's are hard to hit, and teras kasi cannot be knocked down and
pounded so easily, perfect for the cave. Leo-Bek
Working on the Gorath server. I don't know if this is still as difficult to find the farmer as it sounds from reading all these posts but I found the guy. I only had to look for like 5 minutes. Don't know if I got lucky or if it's easier now but he was walking a little less than halfway between Mos Taike and Bestine. The waypoint was: 2141 691. It seemed very easy to find him quickly. I used 1244 1406 as a starting point, as it was listed further up on this posting for Gorath. Then I went to Mos Taike. When I hadn't found him yet I turned and went back toward Bestine and I ran into him. Make sure you definitely have overlay radar map on because he's there as a white blip triangle.
Those who say that the spawn rate in the sennex cave is nuts are right on the money. It didn't used to be quite this bad, but got worse after the last revamp. You cannot clear this cave out. Forget it. But if you're lucky enough to come along when other players are in there trying to do just that, you can come out pretty well. Try to avoid fighting as much as possible. If someone else is fighting a mob, don't stop and help them. You can go on down into the lower caves where there aren't so many mobs and where the mobs don't seem to chase you.
Case in point: I was in the cave with four or five buffed commando types for an hour and a half. They were trying to clear the cave, essentially. We were no better off afterwards than we were at the start. In the end my companion and I decided to make a run for the lower caverns to free the farmer's family. Once we got down into the lower caves there were no more big mobs. Just a few stragglers. I set the family free and just jogged back to the cave mouth. No problem.
You cannot stand toe-to-toe with the mobs in the sennex cave.
I have been to the sennex cave with 4 friends, just to get xp, nothing to do with the mission and 4 buffed buddies with BH,TKA and other fighting skills was not enough to get us back out alive! The spawning delay is extremely quick and i wouldnt go back in there unless there were at least 10 of us.i lost 20k worth of buffs in there! waste of my money as i was going in there to get carbine xp and had to resort to my LLC the whole time...phew!
I'm on Naritus and I searched all the waypoints above a couple months ago to no avail. Then I walked around last night and didn't find him. I met a Master Ranger named Olmaal and he found the farmer for me today within 5 minutes south of Mos Hobo. I paid him 100k and thanked him for it. My advice to anyone else is find out who the Master Rangers are on your server and see how much they charge to track.
I searched ALL of these waypoints over and over for the durration of an entire buff, and most of the next one! FIVE HOURS NONSTOP and still NOT A TRACE of this bastard. I've got Ranger tracking, too! Twice I saw (a moisture farmer) in my tracking window and thought I was done, but NOOOOO, it was just some normal yellow NPC.... I'm going to go hang myself now.
I was wondering if it would be possible to solo the cave as a 0121 TK. I rarely find people around that would be able to assist me in this and would like to do it on my own if possible. Thank you.
I play on naritus, and located the farmer at 08:00, found him at 495 4540.
This guy is hard to pin down and I spent a lot of time just wondering around the desert. I finally hit upon the idea of make a note of and taking every third waypoint here and creating an in-game waypoint to see is there was a pattern. There is So is started with the next waypoint indicated immediately following the last reported w/p.
From him in about 15 min.(luck..? cant say for sure.)
Oh, a small note here, the cave is a bitch..As reported the respawn is crazy as hell. How ever it is worth noting that it is very line of sight so as soon as you have killed off the 1,2,or 3 NPCs that are attacking move around a corner when you engage the next bunch, keeping an eye open not to go to far to minimize the number you engage.
Also when you make it to the first plateau just inside the cave and all the bad guys are dead go to the RIGHT and take out all the cave beetles FIRST. At the end of that cave you are going to find a old chest this is where the explosive is, then you need to fight your way back and on down to the bottom and up and around to the large rock the is blocking the escape of the farmers family. When there you will see a smaller rock next to the large one select it and you can open it. Put the explosive inside and close it, you now have 10 seconds until detonation. Talk with the wife and tell her you will lead the way outThen its just a matter of running to the entranceI went in full hunting armor with full buffs and a flame throwerwas fairly easy after I figured out what to do.
Well good luck, and good hunting:0)
i am on the bria server, and i have been trying for 4 days to find the moisture farmer. has anyone found him. if so, can you tell me around the time and location that you found him, because this is really getting frustrating. thanks. if on right now, send ingame /tell to Bulbas, ill be on for the rest of the night. Its 3:15 pm EST
Had a friend on Bria server that accidently deleted the waypoint to the cave after talking to the farmer. Taking a chance, she went to the cave and was able to finish doing the quest. In the course of finishing the quest, she discovered that if there are two groups in the cave at once - it will sometimes bug. The group before her had picked up the explosives - but couldn't open the crack to place them, while she could. After everyone left the cave, the prior group leader went in alone and was able to place the explosives finishing his quest. The explosives then respawned, along with the wife and child, and my friend was able to finish hers.
I finally found the farmer oddly he was found north of bestine about 800m north. So I guess he isn't near enthas anymore but I did find him by accident maybe they moved it so he spawns in other far off places now.

My suggestion? Group with at least 3 other people while looking for the farmer. I grouped with 3 other guys and one of them found him. He then reported to the rest of us that he found him and the wp he found him at. The rest of us met there and proceded to kill all spawn creatures within a 100m of the spawn wp. after 15 minutes the guy spawned within 100m of the original spot. The second guy talked to him and he despawned again. the last 2 of us again killed spawns in this area for another 15 minutes and like clockwork he appeared within 100m of the last spawn spot. I got him this time but then I waited the extra 15 minutes with the last guy in the group and sure enough he got him too. The guy will appear as a white spawn on your overhead map and will only complete the conversation with 1 person before despawning. Sadly I don't have the WP on me but if you use the WPs listed as a general area you should be fine. And it is DEFINATELY nicer having 4 sets of eyes searching for it rather than one. :)
I've been hunting for ages and still haven't found him. I just curse the peeps that keep leaving their vehicles and pets out as they appear as white dots on the overhead map as well /grrrrrr
Does the Name of the Farmer change? or is the farmer's name always Dodi Oemoub???
also, is there a way to change the color of the overhead map's objects? that way if possible change him to BLUE or GREEN, something to stand out instead of straining to see WHITEvsYELLOW dots.
>>>>>EDIT<<<<<<<
I found the farmer, his name is random, so don't follow the picture's name up top.
Farmer: Ozaw Sebi (a moisture farmer)
Location: -604 -2294
Server: Eclipse
Time: 1:14PM Central Time
the way i found him was by starting at Talion City (player city 2km S of Mos Taike) & headed towards Bestine (i believe the farmer walks in that direction). then if no luck by the time i reached bestine, i U-turned & headed towards Mos Taike. i found the farmer on that pass, but if i didn'tfind him i would've gone to Mos Taike then U-turned & headed back to Bestine, slightly to the W of it, then doubled back & headed toward the Hermit's Cave
All of this creating a W sweep pattern moving West.
