I am sensing a trend here with the merek harvesters. Are these a proven way to lower CL on anything, at least in 2nd gen?

I am sensing a trend here with the merek harvesters. Are these a proven way to lower CL on anything, at least in 2nd gen?
MH has a special place in every BEs heart because of their cool resists. They have a massive 75% Kin resist, and no other resists greater than 10%. If you are pushing for lowering the CL, you try to nuke the resists you dont need, while keeping the ones you do as high as possible...hence why MH is so special. (Oh yeah, theres also a static spawn so they are quite easy to come by)

Lower the stat underneath 0 and it becomes a vulnerability thus reducing the CL. wild spawn vulnerabilities count as -99 so even as a 5% donor, it can be enough to wipe out a merek harvesters' 10% resists.

A vulnerability starts as a -99 resist (This can change between generations anywhere up to a value of -1, above which it becomes a non vuln). If u use something with a vulnerability it wil drag that resists average in teh template down by a significant amount (also depends on the weighting of the position that you place the DNA in)
Look at the FAQ stickied at the top, it can be a bit heavy, but the more times you read, and try to experiment yourself (I mean testin gthings out rather than using exp points), the more it will make sense.
In effect you had it right, combine DNA with vuln to that particular resist to nuk it, or the opposite is to have DNA that isn't vuln to the resists you want to keep.
The static spawn is Endor, about 5-6k from Smuggler Outpost at 3900, 5750 (1 King MH and 5 normal MHs)

Yep! Read it once then read it again. Try some things and read it again a week later. Try some more and read it again a month later. I guarantee that you'll understand something new each time you read it.
It's been a while since I have done MBE (over 6 mos) and I dearly miss it now and plan on going back to it. I did experiment a bit with pets because mainly I saw kimos around and the stats were good but not compared to the one I bought over a year ago as a MCH. I figured I could do better. I didn't sample from the generation 1 or do triplet pets but I believe I made a perfect pet (in my eyes) for me. Here is the stats.

It took me 3 attempts as I got the class level down to 72 and 71 on the 1st and 2nd attempts. On the third attempt I expermiented more on lowering class level and then the rest to raise the HAM's. I can't remember the exact points used but you can experiment to find it. I used the following DNA samples in this order (if memory serves me right) :
1st Slot - 4th Slot: Mutant Rancor DNA
5th Slot - Nocuous Kamurith DNA
I have a Kimo with comparable stats but not as good in the HAM department and less damage. It was blast creating this baby and I still have him for when I master CH again. I hope this may help some budding BE's.
All first Gen. I got lucky the firt time with the 2 specials. I only used 1-2 pts. in Physique. Just enough to get light armor.I also kept ferocity below 100 to keep it non-agro & thus a lower lvl.
